Helpful Resources
Handling an estate often involves working with multiple professionals. Here’s what you might need.
Settling an inherited property in Florida usually means coordinating several professionals at once, and knowing who does what keeps the process from feeling overwhelming. Below are the specialists I work with most often, along with a short note on when each one becomes useful. You will not need every one of them for every estate, and part of my role is helping you figure out which services your situation actually calls for so you are not paying for help you do not need.
Professionals Commonly Involved
Probate Attorneys
Guide the legal process, file necessary paperwork, represent the estate in court if needed, and ensure the executor is fulfilling their legal duties.
Estate Sale Companies
Organize, price, and conduct sales of personal property from the home. Handle everything from furniture to collectibles to household items.
Cleanout Services
Remove and haul away remaining contents of the home after family distribution, donations, and estate sales have been completed.
Property Appraisers
Provide a formal, licensed opinion of the property’s value. Often required for legal and tax purposes during estate settlement.
If you need help finding the right resources, I’m happy to point you in the right direction.
